These motor dampers are ideal for use with 3D printing to make your machine more quiet and precise. Our Print Services team here at MatterHackers outfits every one of our 3D printers with these dampers. You will need 1 damper for every stepper motor on your machine so most machines will require 3-4 dampers.

Delta style machines, like the SeeMeCNC Rostock Max v2 and Orion, require 3 dampers. For Cartesian machines, choose the 4-pack.

is it required to move the pulley out on the shaft to accomodate the thickness of the damper? this appears to create an overhung load condition on the stepper motor.
