Due to high demand, this printer is currently backordered, orders will be fulfilled on a first come, first serve basis.
The manufacturer is working hard to keep up with all the (well-deserved) excitement for the Phenom, and MatterHackers is regularly getting in new machines. If you are on our Peopoly Phenom pre-order list, we are closely tracking your order and we ship in the same order that purchases were made.
The estimated ship date listed on this product page reflects the expected date that we will ship a purchase made at this time. If you are in any way concerned about when your Phenom will be shipped, please don't hesitate to call or email us and we can provide further detail.
Phenom uses the MSLA technology, which is new to resin printing. Instead of controlling a laser to cure resin in a specific point (not unlike FFF printing), the entire layer flashes at once, then moves to the next layer. By selectively exposing the entire layer to UV light, MSLA technology significantly cuts down on curing time, when batch printing, or for large 3D prints. Further, the Phenom customized light engine produced even more UV light, resulting in bench marks of up to 500% faster than similar printers. Check out the tech breakdown article here.
Peopoly has long focused on designing 3D printers with modular construction in mind, ensuring that when exciting new upgrades or mods come along, users that need the latest configuration have no trouble at all in kitting their printer exactly how they like it. Phenom is no different, with focus put into the design and construction for easy expansion and improvements. New cooling systems, lighting setups, or masking systems not yet imagined can all become a part of this 3D printer. The future is always now.
Peopoly designed the Phenom from the ground up, so the chicken and egg problem was completely avoided by developing a new resin at the same time, and with the same design goals in mind. Peopoly and MatterHackers highly recommends you use Deft Resin with your Phenom for the best quality results.
