MatterHackers is proud to announce the release of a beta version of MatterControl Linux with initial support for Ubuntu. This version includes all of the features and modifications from the recent 1.2 release, including newly implemented dual extrusion features and access to popular plugin tools such as the Image Converter and Cloud Monitoring.

"The Linux version of MatterControl has been initially packaged for Ubuntu, and will run on any Debian derivative distros", noted project lead Greg Diaz, "however, to this point it has only been tested directly on Ubuntu and Mint.  Initial feedback has been good and we are looking forward to working closely with the community on making further improvements."

Going forward MatterControl for Linux will be supported and updated on a regular basis along with PC and Mac. However, the build being released is still considered a beta and any feedback, or bug reports from users are much appreciated.

For a list of all documented issue for this beta release please visit the related MatterControl wiki page. Any new bug reports or feedback should be sent to support@matterhackers.com.
