The Titan Aero is an incredible direct drive hotend thanks to it's compact design and constrained filament path. From high-speed printing to superior performance with flexible material, the Titan Aero is a great platform. The Gold Edition brings further upgrades along that normally are post-purchase changes. First off, your hotend will stand out thanks to the beautiful gold-anodized aluminium heat sink that not only performs, but adds a great flare to any 3D printer.

Genuine Noctua Fan

Moving air across your heat sink is crucial for consistent performance and avoidance of heat creep. The Gold Edition Titan Aero has the standard fan replaced by a premium Noctua fan for great airflow with virtually zero sound. The Noctua upgrade is the same size as the standard fan, so no changes to the design were required to make use of this component. If your printer can accommodate the standard Titan Aero, the Gold Edition will also fit perfectly.

High Temperature Components Where you Want Them

On Titan Aero Gold, everything below the heat break is upgraded to allow for day one printing of advanced materials like NylonX and NylonG. The standard heater block is replaced by the more durable plated copper variant which allows for printing temperatures upwards of 500°C. This high temperature component is further complimented by upgrading to a High Precision Heater Cartridge that has both more accurate machining and electrical components over the standard variant. The increased thermal conductivity of the plated copper block is maximized by pairing it with this heater and enabling quick heat-up times or higher speed printing.

Abrasion resistant components where you need them

The extruder hobb gear, which directly interfaces with and drives the filament, has been upgraded to Hardened Steel for an extended lifetime when dealing with abrasive materials. No matter how abrasive the material, this hobb will ensure a steady stream of filament heading towards the nozzle. On that note, the standard brass nozzle is left out of Gold Edition, and is instead replaced by the tried and true Hardened Steel v6 nozzle. From everyday printing with PLA to Carbon Fiber reinforced materials like NylonX and NylonG, the hardened steel v6 nozzle will not disappoint.
