LDO Stealth Changer
Precise and Effortless Tool Changing
The LDO Stealth Changer is a rigorously tested, open-source tool-changing system for the Voron 2.4 that delivers reliable, automated multi-tool 3D printing with consistent precision, even under demanding conditions.
Key Features of the LDO Stealth Changer:
- The shuttle system seamlessly docks, releases, and picks up tools mid-print, so your 3D printer never skips a beat.
- Tools connect and disconnect quickly and securely using a magnet-assisted bushing and pin mechanism for repeatable, confident tool changes every time.
- An integrated tap sensor ensures the 3D printer always knows exactly which tool is attached, keeping your prints accurate and your workflow uninterrupted.
- Compatible with most popular toolheads via a simple bolt-on backplate, making it easy to integrate into your existing setup.
Kit Configuration
The Stealth Changer is split into three separate sub-kits:
Sub Kit 1: Base Kit
This kit is essential for installing the Stealth Changer tool-changing system. It provides the necessary foundation for the setup.
What's Included:
- CNC-machined shuttle
- Nitehawk-Hexa 6+1 ports USB hub adapter
- Sexball probe
- All other required hardware
Please note that a power supply is not included in this kit.
Sub Kit 2: Tool & Dock Kit
The Tool & Dock Kit provides everything needed for each tool station.
One kit is required for each tool head; the Voron 2.4-300 supports up to 5 heads, while the 2.4-350 supports up to 6 heads.
What's Included:
- Nitehawk-36 Toolhead Kit
- SC-edition OptoTap PCB: This includes the necessary cables.
- RGB Sequin: User soldering is required for this component.
- High-CFM LDO Fans: The kit includes one 2510 axial fan and two high-performance 4010 blower fans. This combination is ideal for toolheads such as Anthead, Yavoth, and Xol.
- Backplate Pins: These pins are included and are pre-installed in the printed backplates, which attach to the backs of the toolheads and interface with the CNC Shuttle.
- Please note that all necessary components, including extruders and hotends, are not included in the kit. This is to allow users the flexibility to choose their preferred extruder and hotend combination.
Sub Kit 3: TopHat & Door Buffer Kit
The TopHat & Door Buffer Kit includes all the necessary hardware for building the top hat enclosure and door buffer for your Voron 2.4 (300 or 350 model).
What's Included:
- High-quality LDO extrusions
- Fasteners and hardware for the TopHat and Door Buffer
- Side panels for the TopHat (reuse your current top panel)
Compatibility and Requirements
| Supported Toolheads |

| Build Volume Considerations |
Tool capacity varies by printer size. Approximately 76mm per tool is required for Blackbird, Stealth Burner, and XOL toolheads, with 20mm clearance needed on each side for gantry movement. Build volume is reduced in the Y and Z areas at the front of the build plate, with the exact amount depending on dock positioning and toolhead dimensions. |
| Setup Requirements | CAN bus is strongly recommended due to the complexity of managing multiple wire sets. |
