The stock Pulse, with no added upgrades, is a fantastic option for beginners or those who plan on printing mainly with PLA and PLA hybrid filaments. With the stock Pulse, you can print using PLA, PETG, Bronzefill, Copperfill, Brassfill, Bamboofill, Woodfill, Carbon Fiber, Stainless Steel, and many more. The machine design is based on the popular Prusa i3, the communities most popular design, known for its sturdy build and reliable printing.
The heated bed upgrade means that MatterHackers will install a heated bed on your new Pulse printer. This heated bed will allow you to print with ABS filament which is the second most common 3D printing filament. That means you can print with all of the filaments listed for the stock pulse as well as ABS.
The Bondtech Extruder and E3D V6 with a hardened stainless steel nozzle is the finest extruder and hotend upgrade on the market. When you purchase this upgrade, MatterHackers installs a premium Bondtech extruder as well as an E3D V6 hotend with an upgraded E3D hardened steel nozzle on your Pulse printer.
This upgrade allows you to print with stellar engineering materials like NylonX, any flexible materials, and the ability to print at temperatures up to 300°C. Having the ability to print up to 300°C means that you can print with every 3D printing material on the market (excluding those that require a heated bed). You can also print with all metal infused filaments such as Bronzefill, Brassfill, Copperfill, Stainless Steel, and more. Please note that if you want to print with materials such as ABS which require a heated bed, you will still need to purchase the heated bed even if you are choosing the Bondtech and E3D upgrade.
The LCD screen upgrade is the addition of a very convenient LCD screen to your Pulse printer. This will allow you to manage your print settings and your prints directly from a terminal on your 3D printer using an SD card.
