5 Reasons XiP Should be Your Next Professional 3D Printer

1. Unmatched Speed with Lubricated Sublayer Photocuring (LSPc®)

3D printers are generally slow, but Nexa3D is known for an ultrafast 3D printing technology developed with their NXE-Series industrial 3D printers called Lubricated Sublayer Photocuring (LSPc). At the core of LSPc is the Everlast-2 Membrane, a unique film layer that sits on the bottom of the vat - drastically reducing the peel force on each layer. That technology has been incorporated into XiP, significantly increasing z-axis speed (and overall print speed), and enabling more complex geometries with fewer (or no) supports.

2. Solid Machined-Metal Build for Precision Parts

Most resin 3D printers follow the same architecture, a center Z-axis that sticks up from the base and holds the build plate, and an acrylic dome (usually orange or yellow). That architecture can translate inconsistency into parts. XiP has a z-axis anchored at the bottom AND the top to a fully machined aluminum body. Add to that a solid machined build plate and Vat, and you have one sturdy platform ready to churn out precision parts.

3. Quality Powered by Light-Engine

As with Nexa3D’s industrial NXE Pro Series, XiP’s proprietary LSPc tech is built on a foundation of an mSLA platform complete with a 4K LCD and 405 nm LED light source. This light engine also includes an array of collimating lenses to focus the light more completely across the entire LCD panel creating a clean and powerful light source. Anti-aliasing technology provides sub-pixel resolution providing smoother surfaces and better fine-feature detail. Robust thermal management allows for optimal print conditions at high speed. All told, XiP is packed with enough power to not only print fast, but with professional precision and accuracy.

4. High-Performance Engineering Resins and More

The XiP boasts over 20 validated modeling and high-performance engineering resins from the world’s top suppliers, including xABS, xPP, xPEEK, and xFLEX.The material management system on XiP is made up of changeable aluminum smart cartridges that plug directly into the machined aluminum vat to auto-fill the resin as needed throughout the print. The cartridges have RFID to communicate resin type, although XiP is also compatible with open materials.

5. Power with Ease

At the core of the XiP user-experience is an array of features designed to offer powerful controls in an intuitive workflow. XiP comes complete with NexaX, a purpose-built prep and slicing software capable of automatically repairing meshes, advanced support editing, and connecting to / managing one or more 3D printers within an organization. XiP’s onboard 5.5” touchscreen provides an intuitive interface for everything from a guided setup, to viewing the print queue and starting a print, to simple automated maintenance routines.
