Stereolithography (SLA) photopolymer resin 3D printing uses additive manufacturing techniques to produce printed parts out of liquid plastic resin. Laser SLA 3D printing uses a UV laser light source with galvanometer mirrors to trace the paths of each layer, a similar concept to FDM 3D printing. DLP (Digital Light Processing) SLA 3D printing uses an LED light source with a digital micromirror device (DMD) to project layer-by-layer images onto the build plate to form the final object. LCD (also known as masked SLA [mSLA]) 3D printing uses an LED light source with an LCD photomask (similar to phone screens) to directly project layer-by-layer images onto the build plate. When using SLA technology, it's important to use the right material that is designed to work with LCD curing technology. Check out the collection below of resins by reliable brands like Peopoly, Zortrax, MakerJuice, SprintRay, PhotoCentric, and more who produce great quality resins that have been successfully tested to succeed with Laser SLA, DLP SLA, MSLA, or some combination of the three technologies.
