1kg of 1.75mm ABS (aka Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) filament, spooled and ready-to-use for 3D Printing. ABS is the same material used in Lego bricks and is an excellent material for printing strong, temperature resistant, 3D parts.
MH Build Series ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is the perfect combination of both quality and affordable 3D printer filament. Finally, makers do not need to sacrifice good-looking prints in order to save a few bucks!
MH Build ABS is one of the most commonly used 3D printing materials. Best for making durable parts that need to withstand higher temperatures, MH Build Series ABS is a great addition to any workplace - whether it’s your workbench, classroom, or office, ABS can integrate into any maker’s workflow. MH Build filaments include PLA, ABS, and PETG. So if you’re a pure beginner with a limited budget, or an additive manufacturer looking to save on production costs, MatterHackers MH Build ABS is the filament to get any job done.
3D printed parts made with ABS filament tend to be more flexible and less 'brittle' than those made with PLA filament. ABS printed parts can go through an acetone vapor bath to provide a glossy, smooth look that eliminates layer lines. A heated bed must be used when printing with ABS filament, as it shrinks or contracts when it cools, which can cause warping. Using a fully enclosed 3D printer, or building an enclosure for your printer will provide cleaner ABS prints. All MH Build filament is sealed with desiccant for storage and freshness.
Your success in 3D printing is our goal, so we have created many guides to help you create the highest quality 3D printed parts possible.
