The revolutionary BCN3D Sigma has evolved into the Sigmax - a wider and more powerful dual extrusion 3D printer. The team at BCN3D leverages the IDEX design with duplication and mirror printing modes to boost productivity and shorten the design and production process.
The Sigmax from BCN3D will begin shipping mid November - pre-order today to secure a unit!
The Sigmax from BCN3D offers 3D printing capabilities that only IDEX can provide. Utilize features like duplication mode to produce identical parts in a single print - doubling output and maximizing valuable machine time. Mirror mode creates two symmetrical parts, reflected along the center of the build plate. These features are great for professional users who need to get the most out of every second of machine time as well as designers who need to make multiple parts for testing during the design process. The hobbyist can take advantage of the Sigmax's giant 420x297x210mm build area and create huge single parts, as well as utilize duplication and mirror modes for projects with duplicate parts to reduce printing time.
Creating two opposing parts with mirror mode
The IDEX system allows you to print single parts with multiple materials, enabling two-color prints and eliminating the need to paint in post processing. Go further by blending solid with flexible materials like PRO Series Flex to create parts with solid sections and also flexible components. Printing without supports is always the preferred option, but some models just don't allow for it. The Sigma is compatible with PVA water soluble supports, which allow you to print even the most complex model with interior overhangs and hollow spaces because the support material dissolves away in warm water after printing.
Huge build volume lets you create massive dual extrusion prints
The Sigmax is compatible with the entire family of Sigma hotends, providing maximum functionality on day one. Add on the complete hotend family pack to utilize nozzle sizes from 0.3mm for small prints or fine details all the way up to 1mm for massive parts that still print quickly. The 0.5mm nozzle features a hardened steel nozzle - which enables printing with materials like NylonX. When printing a single part, the Sigmax can utilize each hotend for a different part of the print. Install the 0.3mm nozzle on one toolhead for beautifully smooth perimeters and the 1mm nozzle on the other to extrude the infill quickly. The larger nozzle not only allows for faster printing, but also provides a stronger inter-layer bond for stronger parts.
