Step-by-Step Guide to Replacing and Aligning the Printheads

• From the 3D printer's front screen panel, select "Supplies," then tap the "Printheads" icon, followed by "Replace."
• Open the top cover of the 3D printer and pull open the printhead cover.
• Lift the printhead latch and raise the handle to remove the printhead from the carriage.
• Shake the new printhead side to side at least 10 times, then remove the protective packaging and caps.
• Insert the new printhead and lower the handle.
  • Ensure not to hit any part of the carriage without fully closing the latch.
• Continue to lower the latch until it rests on the printhead, then secure it. Replace the printhead cover and close the top cover.
• On the 3D printer's front screen panel, select "Finish and then Check".

• Perform a printhead alignment by selecting "Settings" on the 3D printer's front screen panel, then "Utilities," followed by "Part-Quality Troubleshooting," and finally "Printhead Status Plot."
• Follow the on-screen instructions to initialize.
• Open the external cleaning-roll door and remove the calibration tool.
  • For safety, please close the external cleaning-roll door.
• Open the top cover.
• Insert the calibration tool between the cleaning roll and the recoating unit in either of the two positions.
• Next, place and secure a tabloid (or A3) sized sheet of blank paper, cut in half along the long side, on the calibration tool.
• Close the cover.
• On the front screen panel, tap "OK."
• Check the pattern once the print test is complete.
  • A 10x magnifying glass is recommended to analyze the plot.
• Verify that the alignment has been done correctly.
• Remove the calibration tool and return it to the inside of the cleaning-roll door.
