The Moai - Speed and Precision

The Moai is powered by an ST 32-bit ARM processor, capable of interpreting Gcode and running the machine incredibly fast, allowing for high precision movements without having to increase print time. While most FDM 3D printers come with a 0.40mm nozzle, the laser spot size of the Moai is only 70 microns, or 0.07mm in diameter. This makes the 'filament path' a much higher resolution than any FDM 3D printer can accomplish. But since the toolpath is a laser curing resin and not a nozzle extruding filament the machine can print very fast and maintain low print times even at this high level of precision. Combined with the 10-micron layer height, this printer offers the most bang for your buck in the laser SLA world today.

FEP Film Vat

With the standard Moai Resin Vat, which uses a PDMS film, over time, resin left in the vat can adhere to the surface, which results in less usable resin for your prints. Further, the tank must be cleaned periodically as the resin builds up. With this new design however, resin will remain in its liquid state, thanks to the material FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) that coats the vat. Much less cleaning is required, and all the resin in the vat remains usable for prints!

Easy-to-Level Build Plate

Plate leveling is a somewhat cumbersome process on the standard build plate on the Moai, but it doesn't have to be. This new plate is designed to make leveling much easier, by using the newly designed leveling system, which works with both the FEP and PDMS vat. Upgrade your Peopoly Moai today!

Peopoly Moai UV Curing Light

The UV LED allows fast curing for your Moai prints with six high-powered UV LED's. In fact, any photosensitive resin that cures in the 405nm UV spectrum will efficiently cure within minutes.

Peopoly Moai Heater Module

The Heater for the Peopoly Moai is here! Designed to keep the internal chamber over 25C, the Heater is sensor controlled and comes with its own power supply, separate from the Moai SLA printer.

The Heater's internal thermostat will activate anytime the surrounding temperature is not within a temperature range of 27C and 35C. The fan remains running while the unit is plugged in.
