Turn Scan Data Into Inspection Results

Revo Measure is professional 3D metrology software that answers the question every scan eventually raises: is this part in tolerance? Import a point cloud or mesh, align it to the original CAD model, and Revo Measure reports the deviation, checks your GD&T callouts, and exports a report you can hand to a customer or file with the job.

Its accuracy has been verified by PTB, Germany's national metrology institute. It reads scan data from Revopoint scanners and from third-party scanners that export PLY, and it opens native CAD files from SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor, Solid Edge, and more, along with neutral formats like STEP and IGES.

See Every Deviation at a Glance

Align your scan to the reference model and Revo Measure maps the difference in color across the whole part, so warped surfaces, shrinkage, and machining errors show up immediately instead of hiding between spot checks. Cut a cross section anywhere to inspect wall thickness and internal geometry, and measure directly on that section.

  • Intelligent deviation analysis with color-mapped error visualization
  • Cross-section creation and measurement for internal structures
  • Automatic, manual N-point, and 3-2-1 alignment methods
  • Flexible coordinate system creation for part-specific datums

Full GD&T, Not Just Dimensions

Revo Measure covers 23 measurement and GD&T controls, including flatness, roundness, cylindricity, concentricity, position, parallelism, perpendicularity, angularity, and both circular and total runout. One-click feature recognition finds points, lines, planes, circles, cylinders, spheres, and cones in your scan data, so you spend your time evaluating results instead of constructing geometry by hand.

  • 23 GD&T and measurement controls
  • Automatic feature recognition and creation
  • Point, line, plane, circle, cylinder, sphere, and cone features
  • Distance, angle, and volume measurement

Measure the First Part, Then the Next Hundred

Set up your measurement plan once and save it as a template. One-click template measurement applies that plan to every matching part, and real-time file monitoring detects new scan files and measures them automatically as they arrive. For production inspection, that turns a repetitive manual process into a step that runs itself.

  • One-click template measurement for repeat parts
  • Real-time file monitoring measures new scans automatically
  • Consistent results across operators and shifts
  • Works directly with data captured in Revo Scan

Reports Your Customers Can Read

Export standardized reports as PDF, with measurement values, deviation graphs, and color maps laid out for review and sign-off. JSON export sends the same results into your own systems, so quality data can feed a database, a dashboard, or a custom workflow rather than sitting in a folder of documents.

  • PDF reports with measurements, deviation graphs, and color maps
  • JSON export for integration and secondary development
  • Texture mapping visualization for context in reports
  • Repeatable formatting across every inspection

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a Revopoint scanner to use Revo Measure?
No. Revo Measure integrates directly with Revo Scan, but it also works with data from other 3D scanners as long as the scan exports to a supported format such as PLY.

What can I import?
Point clouds (PLY, PTS, XYZ, CSV, ASC, TXT), meshes (PLY, STL, OBJ, 3MF), and CAD files including STEP, IGES, SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor, Solid Edge, JT, Parasolid, and more.

How do I get results out?
Export a formatted PDF report for review and sign-off, or JSON if you want to pull measurement data into your own software.

Is the accuracy certified?
Revo Measure's accuracy has been verified by PTB, Germany's national metrology institute. Note that this covers the software. Your overall measurement accuracy also depends on the scanner, the setup, and the operator.

What computer do I need?
Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), a CPU with at least 8 cores and 16 threads at 2.4 GHz or higher, 32 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA RTX 3050 (8 GB) or better. Metrology datasets are large, and underpowered machines slow down noticeably.

Does it need an internet connection?
An internet connection is used for activation and updates. Day-to-day measurement work does not require one.
