Ultimaker Polypropylene Filament - 3.00mm (0.50kg)

Polypropylene is great for 3D printing low friction, print to production parts that have high fatigue resistance and toughness. PP is a popular manufacturing material due to its heat and chemical resistance along with excellent layer bonding and translucent finish. Polypropylene is also recyclable, making it an environmentally friendly option for 3D printer filament.

Lightweight, high strength

Polypropylene is a favorite around the world for it's fatigue resistance, meaning it will retain it's shape after twisting and bending. Living hinges and clamps are very common examples of Polypropylene parts since the hinges can be bent back and forth thousands of times without breaking. The material has a very low density, which keep the weight of the part very low without sacrificing quality and strength.

Prototype in the end use material

If designing a part for eventual mass-production on polypropylene you can now prototype in the exact same material as your end product. Instead of having to test with a different material that might not exhibit the exact same properties as the final product, PP 3D printing filament allows you to prototypes to be perfect test subjects. It's also recyclable, so mass prototyping has very low environmental impact.
